I will tell you that over the past day, I have noticed a bit of a boost for my political blog, plus I was able to do a bit of blogging early this morning before heading out the door to work. Not going to work this evening thou, as I got home from work, a doctor's appointment and some grocery shopping real late and having a late dinner to boot, so it's going to be some " Me Time " this evening. Funny you should mention the Inauguration of Obama, as I'm blogging on my political blog at the moment, linking to a few blogs that have been less than kind to our new president. And I do agree with you as far as the weekends just being way too short. I have been working on my websites and have several other blogs, and the weekends are short, but so are the weekdays lol...... :) I am now working on large amount of post during the weekend and will have them schedules to post automatically. I have also noticed that weekends are slow for blog traffic and today. I do agree with your point, and I have noticed this has happened on three of my four blogs as far as traffic to the blogs in general goes...but I do have my one blog, which seems to be established at this point and seems to generate steady traffic ( although not as much as I would like all of the time ) even when I'm only posting on it maybe two to three times a week at best. This is my " Fanboy@50 " blog and it was my first, and I've been blogging there for almost two years now, trying to really focus on narrowing down subject matter on it. Unfortunatley, sometimes it becomes a necessity to take a break from writing posts and just go about the business of living. I think that this is healthy as sometimes you can start to become stagnant as far as how your posts are written, and how your point(s) come across to your readers. .
