Optimistic about Back Links

Everything that I’ve read about back links stresses the importance of them in search engine optimization. From what I’ve gathered, all of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Dogpile) have a certain formula that calculates the ranking of your site in any given search. The more back links that you have created to other credible sites, and vice versa, the more credibility that those search engines give your site when it goes through their scoring model.

So, I’m setting a goal for myself: I’d like to partner with 10 total businesses a day to create back links to my sites (AverageGal.com, FullGlassLiving.com, and DivineSteals.com), therefore creating better search engine rankings, and more traffic to both my site, and the businesses that I create the alliances with. I’m not sure if 10 links per day is being too optimistic, but I guess that I’ll find out soon enough!

I just drafted up a generic email letter to my potential business partners. The letter consists of a paragraph about me, followed by another paragraph about my business, followed by how we can mutually benefit each other’s business.

My plan is to locate and learn more about different businesses by googling items that are my favorites to post on my three sites. I’m going to create a database of websites that I am attempting to network with as well as their responses in order to track my results. Today I’m going to Google “purses” and see what I come up with for replies from the businesses with my initial introductory email.

As you all know, I’m obviously a novice in this internet business, so I definitely welcome any suggestions or comments that you have on this topic! I look forward to updating you all soon with how my quest for the 10 partnerships per day is panning out. If I can be successful with this back links campaign, anyone can!!
